Did you know…
Hurricane Matthew caused an estimated $10 billion in damage and is the 10th most destructive hurricane to impact the United States.
Each week until the 2017 in-person meeting, we are featuring sessions to share a few more details about the agenda. This week, we are featuring two sessions “Hurricane Matthew: Impacts and Recovery throughout the Region” and “Extreme Events in the Face of a Changing Climate.” We will be learning about the impacts of Hurricane Matthew to our region in the context of improving our understanding of future extreme events.
Join us for:
- Learning about extreme events that occur in the Southeast and Caribbean, including hurricanes, droughts, and extreme precipitation.
- Sharing feedback on our needs as climate information users.
- Outlining the impacts, challenges, and recovery efforts for Hurricane Matthew.
