Webinar Recap: Using Climate Central’s Surging Seas tool for FEMA’s Community Rating System

Climate Central has identified several ways the Surging Seas web tool can be used to support activities that receive Community Rating System (CRS) credit. On April 18, 2018, the SECCCoP jointly hosted a webinar with the Gulf of Mexico Climate and Resilience Community of Practice to demo these resources.

Our guest speakers, Dan Rizza and Dyonishia (Nishia) Nieves, introduced a new guide that provides step-by-step instructions on how to access information and downloads from the Surging Seas web tool that could be utilized within specific CRS activities in FEMA’s 2017 CRS Coordinator’s Manual.

Climate Central’s Surging Seas CRS Guide is available here.
